In 2000 three Marlborough Grape Growers with extensive experience decided that they'd had enough of being at the mercy of other peoples contracts. They saw a niche market, which was undeveloped, rather than supplying fruit via a fruit contract to an individual winery, they began buying their own infrastructure to make their own wine. Starting with one 10,000 litre tank each, they started Marlborough Grape Producers.

From small beginning's the business has grown and branched out. MGP is uniquely placed to be able to service any client requests. We supply large or small volumes and will help you get the right quantity and the right wine for your label, or we can provide you with fully packaged wine as well.
